Key Highlights of an Executive MBA:
Most Executive MBAs are flexible to accommodate working professionals and may have the option to have weekend classes or maybe a full-time 1-year program depending on the institution.
Duration - 1 Year (Residential) OR weekend batches (non-residential, can span over 2 years)
Fees - ~18 to 40 Lakhs
Specialization offered - Operations Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management, Strategy Management, Information Technology Management, and Human Resources Management
Top Companies that hire - TCS, Wipro, KPMG, Capgemini, Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Axis Bank, IBM, Accenture, and Cognizant.
Benefits of doing an Executive MBA vs PGDM:
Networking Opportunities - With the diverse cohort an Executive MBA offers, the networking opportunities available are immense. Students have met their potential co-founders, mentors, etc. during the course.
High ROI - Since the course duration is only 1 year in most cases, the fees is drastically lower than a two year program and the student is able to pay back the student loan faster (if applicable).
Boost in salary - Since the alumni of an Executive MBA already come with several years of experience they are often placed in senior leadership positions which means a marginally higher boost in salary is observed.
Salary Insights & Job Opportunities post an Executive MBA:
Senior Brand Manager, CEO, Financial Advisor, Sustainability Head, Marketing Head, Category Manager, CTO, Business Head, CFO, Senior Product Manager, etc.
The average salary package offered to Executive MBA pass-outs from top Indian B schools is ~36 LPA. Some cohorts saw as much as ~105% jump in their salary post the program.
If you’re an experienced professional looking to fast-track your career with an Executive MBA, the first step is to ace the GMAT or the GRE.
All the best for your preparation journey!
